For sale: secrets to my milkshake.

Every time I think about my bank balance I want to die a little bit. I've resorted to doing anything possible to get money from my family, like taking a laptop to get fixed (profit: £3.20), buying makeup (profit: £10), tidying my house head to toe including sorting the office which has been a mess for years, (profit: £10). I have the job at Homebase obviously, so that should get me to about -£500 by the end of the summer if I'm lucky. With my deposit if I get, say, £200 back I'll be at -£300. Hmm, not the best start to the uni year. Especially with rent being more etc etc.

I need a talent that I can market. I was tempted to attempt to sell my photos on etsy but literally no one will buy them and unless I sell them at stupid prices I'd make like no profit anyway. I seriously doubt anyone would want some crappy photos of red pandas or ice. Maybe I should just fake some soft pastel lens flare hipster shit, they seem to like that.

See, I can totally do that shit. Kaching.

It's summer! Maybe I'll bother updating this thing now I have fuck all else to do during the day. Probably not though. I gots me a job in Homebase again, on the shop floor. I am not good on the shop floor. I am awful on the shop floor. It's a miracle no one has fired me yet.

Aside from that I'm trying to do the whole get fit thing in time for netball, and my natural disposition is towards cycling, which is fuuun. The first time I went out I got just under 4 miles out, so I was aiming for five today and I almost made six, hurrah! And I'm starting jogging tomorrow with Adamski, so I'll make a fitness queen out of me yet (I say that with more than a hint of jest).

It's weird that I've lived here for so long but I really know very little about the area. Maybe the cycling and jogging will help me explore slightly, idk. I only go down the cycle path to Consett but there's still some pretty neat things like this place.

And there's an big old tower that I have no idea what it's from or why it's there but it's a nice place to have a rest, about five miles in.

My legs feel horrifying though.

Varsity, Tour and... whatever else has happened lately.

Both Varsities were brilliant. I love playing netball normally but when there's a group of people there supporting you and cheering you on with megaphones because you're the last game being played it's actually amazing. The final whistle went and everyone ran onto the court an it was SO FUN.

Nothing amiss here. What's photoshop? Doesn't ring a bell.
The night out that night wasn't brilliant but the week after made up for it, even though I did lose pretty much everything I own. Found it all, don't worry, it was after varsity that I broke my two cameras and lost my phone, then broke another phone.

The second one was at Chiswick, which is our ground, and the night afterwards was in Undercroft. Ahhh, good old Undercroft.

Thankfully it was amazing weather, seeing as we were all playing outside.

Casually looking like a bunch of bananas. Thank god for having black and yellow for our sports colours, eh? So hot.
I wish I had a bigger/higher quality photo of this because it is amazing.

Yeah, eat that sandwich. Show that sandwich who's boss.
Then the week after we pretended to be classy at the ball.

Sadly during the meal I was the group's token drunken mess. I'm good at that.
Oy.

Here I am looking relatively sober though, just as proof that it happens sometimes. With Rianne being amazing as usual. And then after champagne and vodka.

...
Yeah.
And this is the day I broke my second camera. WOOH.

Then TOUUURRR. If I could put all the brilliant photos that happened on Tour we'd be here forever. Little food and copious amounts of vodka made Vicki very drunk. I think I came back brain damaged. And way too emotional. And with way too many photos of genitals on my camera. I spent my days sitting on the balcony while everyone napped and my nights doing a combination of looking distastefully at gross food, being embarrassing, yelling about losing my voice, crying and generally making a fool of myself. IT WAS GREAT.

Incidentally this was the walk back the night I lost my shoe. Hurrah! Chewing gum on my tights!

Right, that's it for now. I'm missing out course drunk nights (two of them) and Zara's birthday and the rest of Easter (I basically sat in bed ill and recovering from Tour) and Alice's visit, but we took like no photos so that sucked.

I don't know if I should be amused or sad that all my posts here consist of drunk photos.

Amused, I think.

an attempt at remembering the last few months in words.

This is really badly laid out because I'm too lazy to fix the shit it did to the formatting soooo.... sorry about that.

Also right at the end there is a spoiler for a character's appearance in the Walking Dead, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Anyway, did I never post about Dartmoor or my birthday? Shenanigans! I must have only posted it to Livejournal. Time to fix that. Most of this is just so I have an excuse to post photos because I'm too tired to write words.

Maybe I should just start in January. If I can remember anything.

Right, January... I think we might have gone out the day I got back to London.
YES. We did. I got back, dumped my suitcase and then headed out again.

It yielded such great photos as this:
Course nights out are always fun.

After that we had the TV exercise, which went canny well, despite my inability to spell the word "discussion" and my inability to man live cameras on peds (fucking awful, let me stick with my sound kit). Then there wasn't much until we went out again. Which yielded MORE great photos.
Badly hidden attempts to make myself look more social than I am.
And then my birthday happened! And Alice, being the most amazing of amazing people came to visit me for it. I was not looking forward to my birthday because I missed my friends so much and I felt weird not having them here but I needn't have feared because, while it was still a little bit weird, she made up for it. THANKS ALICE. First we went to the Natural History Museum and ate crepes, and then on my actual birthday, after a midnight visit from Jack and Sam, there was the amazing combination of the Muppets, Nandos and Wetherspoons. Then cake! I'm just going to post photos from the whole weekend together because I'm too lazy to separate them.

And then I had to leave dear Alice to lock up as I had to piss off to Dartmoor. Hellish filming conditions in terms of sound because of the wind and the broken radio mic, not to mention the camera batteries running out every five seconds, but I think we pulled it off! And it was a beautiful place.

Aside from that, netball is still going on. I'm still terrible but I was smart and wormed my way in by being all friendly and NOW THEY CAN'T GET RID OF ME HO. HO. HO.
Proof that I do actually do sport.
And now the fun stuff.

Renting ourselves out for charity (which I got out of, somehow).

And helping out other teams with their fundraisers (by which I mean giving them the entry fee and then getting horribly, horribly, horribly drunk, and kicked in the crotch by Lanie)

That may be it in terms of events. In terms of television, HO SHIT, THE WALKING DEAD. I don't really follow much on TV at the moment. Way behind on Fringe and Being Human, way way way behind on House and NCIS: Los Angeles. Supernatural just came back so I'm back onto that (because I will not give up on it, not now, not ever) and Game of Thrones starts again in two weeks (shitting with excitement) but for now, or at least until yesterday, The Walking Dead was my main link with the current television. Though I've started both Breaking Bad and the US version of the Office.

But yeah, the Walking Dead. This bamf of a character turned up and I nearly flipped my shit because I had avoided spoilers (other than the end shot which WAS STILL OHHH SHIT) so when she turned up I actually teared up it was so badass.
Excuse me while I pee myself.
AND THEN WALLOP, the final shot. SO EXCITED for next season now. SO. EXCITED.
For all the complaining people did about this season the past few episodes have been fantastic in my opinion. Despite that death being way too premature, other bits were improved. Not to mention how brilliant the music has been lately. This is my ringtone now even though I'm used to Oo-De-Lally so it makes me shit myself every time.

They need the music from the beginning during Dale's eulogy to be put somewhere. And Shane's death scene. It's so goddamn good.
But enough of the music fangirling.

I have probably missed something but that will do for now. I'll try to do more frequent things so I'm not dumping them all into a ridiculously long post again. I've got Tour and Easter and the ball coming up so they can all be separate, along with whatever the fuck else I fancy. I might just start filling it with random crap every few days.
